Am I a candidate for acupuncture and integrative medicine?

The medical literature shows acupuncture’s effect on nearly every biophysical system in the body. We’ve seen patients suffering from a wide variety of problems respond to acupuncture treatment when nothing else has worked. So, for most people, yes, acupuncture is something you should explore.

How many acupuncture sessions will I need?

The number of treatments needed differs from person to person. For complex or long-standing conditions, three or four treatments a week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer visits are required, and for health maintenance, we recommend weekly or monthly tune-ups.

Is this acupuncture painful?

No; however, it is typical to feel sensations, such as warmth, a quick pinch, or heaviness, indicating that the brain and body are actively communicating with each other. Most patients experience deep relaxation and may even take a mini-nap, feeling refreshed afterward.

Do you take insurance?

We do not process insurance in-house; however, we are happy to provide you with a receipt that has the necessary coding for you to submit to your provider. We recommend checking with your insurance company to see if you are covered for acupuncture and, if so, what specific conditions your insurance company covers acupuncture for. We also accept HSA & FSA in our clinic.
